Parking may be a problem, as you compete with contractors remodeling the multi-million dollar homes (with a multi-million dollar view).īe sure to wear shoes or sandals that do not slip easily, as seaweed covers a goodly portion of the tide pool rocks and is slippery to stand on. Little Corona Del Mar Beach is where Ocean Blvd takes an abrupt left. All of these streets dead end at Ocean Blvd. To get to Little Corona Del Mar Beach from Coast Highway, State Highway 1 in Corona Del Mar turn toward the sea on any of the following small streets: Marguerite, Marigold, Narcissus, Orchid, or Poinsettia. If taking the path is daunting, there are benches above where one can watch a wide expanse of the Pacific Ocean, the jetty into Newport Bay, and quite a bit of coastline. Midway are the bathrooms with showers and running water facilities. To get to the tide pools you have to walk down a fairly steep paved road that has steps on one side. All the while you can watch the waves pound against rocks jutting out of the sea. My 6 year old grandson delighted in finding all sorts of sea creatures including anemones, sea urchins, sea slugs, crabs, hermit crabs, and starfish. There is a quite large expanse of area that is exposed at low tide. The main attraction for us is the tide pools at low tide. There are no signs to Little Corona Del Mar Beach so only the locals know where it is and what a nice place it is. We have returned to visit it twice recently with our grandson, the most recent January 2013. But I won’t.Having lived in the Newport Beach area 17 years during the mid-70s to the mid-90s we found and enjoyed the Little Corona Del Mar Beach. It’s so sweet it makes me want to squeal. Love and happiness literally oooooozes from every inch of them. I adore intimate weddings like this one, because it’s all about the bride and the groom. :) Their wedding day was the first time we’d met, but warm people like this make you feel like you’ve known each other for years. Google is like the perfect matchmaker, bringing together the kindest of people, with the most excited of photographers (me). Kristy actually found me through a simple google search. It’s always an honor to spend someone’s most important day by their side. Smiled and loved each other the whole time. Stressful enough, right? Well they have five beautiful children, and even though the kids may have got hungry, or got in your typical sibling tiffs, they sailed on just perfectly. Now let’s think about a wedding day with no children. One thing I loved, is how they both remained calm the entire time. ![]() And the little ladies/bridesmaids looked absolutely lovely. So after long day of travel, with two mothers, a sister, a bride, a groom, and FIVE kids in tow, they made it down here. I was so happy they chose this quaint little spot on a quiet weekday afternoon. I had never been there, and couldn’t believe how sweet it was. ![]() Kristy set up a perfect little ceremony, at the classic Tivoli Terrace in Laguna Beach. They got engaged on this side of the state, so they wanted to bring their family down, and make it official over here as well. Kristy and Bryan came from the other side of California, to get married here in Orange County, and have the opportunity to take pictures at the beach, on their wedding day.
